Our Committee

Our committee is unique in the fact that it is made up of the most forward thinking individuals in both Irish & Texan business & educational communities. Each member has been individually hand picked for his or hers specific expertises. The committee sets out to build a strong network of Irish/Texan business people, entrepreneurs, educationalists and academics to help strengthen the relationships between both countries. The board includes members from a wide range of backgrounds including property, IT, education, tourism, finance, sales, investment, banking, telecommunications, transport, sport, publishing and marketing.

Chairperson & Senior Advisor

Robert Holland is Chairperson and Managing Director of a number of Irish businesses. Robert is an Irish Peace Commissioner and a former Government Advisor to the Irish Government. Robert had senior advisor roles in the Department of Transport, Education, Sport & Tourism and Social Protection for over the past 20 years. He maintains a strong relationship with government agencies, the diplomatic corps and industry bodies both in Ireland and Texas. Mr Holland is also a successful businessman, with business interests ranging from education to technology.

dillaneDr Dominic Dillane

Committee Member & Educational Advisor

Dr Dominic Dillane is currently Head of the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). DIT's School of Hospitality Management and Tourism is the largest and longest established provider of hospitality management and tourism programmes in Ireland. Dominic has served in various leadership roles in tourism and education having been a member of the board of Ireland's National Tourism Development Authority Failte Ireland from 2003-2011. He is currently President of the International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators. He is also a member on the Dublin Institute of Technology board. Dominic actively involved in the development of DIT's new campus in Grangegorman and serves on the Irish Government's Grangegorman Development Agency which is the agency charged with the responsibility of developing the site.  


cianCian Holland

Committee Member & Senior Advisor

Cian Holland is Senior Advisor and the youngest member of the committee however he is one of the most diversified. He graduated from the National University of Ireland with a MSc in IT Management and a Double Honours BA in Finance & Accounting. He is also a fully qualified Financial Advisor. Cian is a Senior Investment Consultant and specialises in analysing potential opportunities for private investors. Cian is also an expert in wealth management for Irish businesses. Previously he was Operations Manager for one of the largest private educational companies in Ireland.
